Requests from the Media/Press for Live Interviews: AREDN Mossel Bay Mesh Network

MEDIA/PRESS NOTICE:  Several requests were received from  local and overseas Media/Press for live interviews iro AREDN Mossel Bay Mesh Network and  the Garden Route Disaster and Weather Info Service we run.  I would like to thank the Media for the requests and know that they play a very important and crucial roll during emergencies and disasters  to keep the public informed. Many others would have jumped to be interviewed and to have their story published in the Media/Press.   I have however decided not to grant any live interviews to the media organizations or the Press.  It is policy that AREDN Mossel Bay and Garden Route Disaster and Weather Info Service only issue written press statements to the media.

Up to now good relations exist between us and the Media/Press and I will continue to uphold these relationships.

An after action report will soon be released that will outline the roll AREDN – Mossel Bay Mesh Network and Garden Route Disaster and Weather Info Service played during the current Fire Outbreak in the Southern Cape/Garden Route Areas.

Press Releases to date available by clicking on the links:

Media/Press Release: AREDN: Mossel Bay Mesh Network assist in the search for 2 people missing in the Karatara Area. (30 October 2018)

Thank You

Johan Terblanche ZS1I, AREDN Amateur Radio JOC Control, Mossel Bay, South Africa
